Our name comes from the French word “soigné,” which means carefully and elegantly done, with attention to detail. We chose it because it distills into one word how we hope you experience our work: Every detail already considered. Already done with care. Not just beautiful, but lovingly attended to.

We’re a New Orleans-based design and styling house founded on the principle that thoughtfully designed moments and spaces give us room to slow down and savor emotional moments.
We see design and styling as a means to tell stories, evoke emotions, and shape the experience that guests have within a space.
Whether we’re working with a couple, a planner, or an event venue, our work is governed by restraint, cohesion, and emotional resonance. Rather than introduce visual noise, we exercise discipline as we tell stories and create immersive experiences.

MEET THE FOUNDER & CREATIVE DIRECTOR Jordan McMills is a wedding designer, stylist, and experiential creative director based in New Orleans.
Her point of view has been shaped by a lifelong love of the natural world, years spent working in hospitality, and an appreciation for vintage tableware, architecture, and art.
As the founder of Soigné Styling, Jordan partners with couples, planners, hospitality groups, and event venues to cultivate a sense of place and tell immersive stories through design. She’s known for an ability to create rooms and vignettes that look both lived-in and beautifully composed, as well as her gift for sourcing one-of-a-kind vintage pieces.
Jordan currently serves as the Director of Events & Experiences for the New Orleans chapter of Emerge Event Collective.
In no particular order, Jordan loves a boutique hotel with an opinion; a tastefully chosen animal print; My Fair Lady with Audrey Hepburn; the color green; an artfully arranged parlor; and her pets: Darcy, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, and Autumn, a rescue cat.

Our Philosophy
Giving Back
We firmly believe in celebrating all that makes us unique, and that our differences make us stronger as a community. In that spirit, we’ve been donating a percentage of our proceeds to The Trevor Project since 2020. The Trevor Project provides crisis intervention and life-saving support to LGBTQ+ youth nationwide.
